Painter (m/f/d)
Your key responsibilities
As a painter, you will be responsible for painting, decorating, and minor repair work throughout the hotel as well as in the staff housing, ensuring that all areas consistently meet our high standards.
You will carry out high-quality interior and exterior painting and decorating work, including the professional preparation of surfaces through filling, sanding, priming, painting, and coating.
You will perform regular inspections and touch-up work in guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain an impeccable appearance and ensure the highest quality standards.
You will carry out minor repair and maintenance work on walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other painted or coated surfaces, selecting and using appropriate materials and techniques.
You will work closely with the Technical Services team and support painting, decorating, and finishing work during renovations, seasonal preparations, special projects, and events.
You will ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and with particular attention to detail, while minimising disruption to our guests and hotel operations.
You will take on occasional on-call duty shifts to respond quickly and reliably to emergencies as they arise.
What you bring to the job
For this highly varied position, you ideally bring the following:
Completed vocational training as a painter, decorator, or an equivalent professional qualification.
Several years of professional experience in painting, decorating, renovation, and maintenance work. Previous experience in a luxury hotel or a comparable high-standard environment is an advantage.
Strong technical knowledge of painting and decorating techniques, surface preparation, coatings, materials, and finishes, combined with a high standard of craftsmanship.
Good command of German as well as spoken Italian; knowledge of English is an advantage.
A responsible, reliable, and independent working style, with excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
A professional and discreet approach, particularly when working in guest-facing areas and occupied spaces, with consideration for our guests and hotel operations at all times.
A flexible and solution-oriented mindset, together with the ability to remain reliable and efficient during busy periods.
Our offer
Permanent full-time position in St. Moritz.
Average 5-day working week with 43.5 working hours.
5 weeks of vacation and 6 public holidays per year.
13th salary from the start date (pro rata temporis).
